Quantum Leap

So I think I was living under a rock from 1989 to 1993. Never, ever in my life had I heard of Quantum Leap. It was a show on NBC that was apparently pretty popular. Last night Randy started telling me about it and I watched an episode (THANKS, HULU!!) . I am super addicted. Basically Scott Backula plays "Sam" who teleports into the past & "lands" in the body of someone else. He looks like the person on the outside but it's him on the inside. He has to "save the day" in one way or another (I think it usually involves saving a life or helping someone in a rough time).

How did I miss out on this great form of entertainment? And it makes me wonder ... what else am I missing out on !? (And how ridiculous I am for not knowing about about it until 20 years after the fact!?)
